I am John David Bradshaw and it is my desire to serve you as your
next 4th District Magistrate.
When my family and I moved to Bullitt County over 11 years ago,
we moved to a small home on a wooded hillside in eastern Bullitt County.
We affectionately call it our "little piece of heaven". Both my wife
and I, having roots in other rural counties in Kentucky, declared
Bullitt County to be our "home" from now on. We were thrilled
to be out in the country away from the hustle and bustle of Metro
Louisville.
Since then we have seen a local dairy farm developed into an upscale
community complete with a restaurant and golf course. Just down the
road several other very nice communities with beautiful homes have
been developed, and offer places to live for the many new residents
of Bullitt County.
We have watched while other farm land and pasture evolved into a
business park and commercial district. New businesses have moved
into the area creating opportunities and jobs for many of the local
residents.
Bullitt County is one of the fastest growing counties in the state,
and this is good. Much of that growth is in the 4th Magisterial District.
I want to work together with the people of the 4th District to make
Bullitt County an even better place for families to live. I want
to help improve our schools so our children can get a good education
and meet the challenges and opportunities in life that lie ahead for them.
I want to help make Bullitt County more attractive to even more businesses
which will create more jobs for the people of Bullitt County.
But I can't do it alone. I need your help and your input. I promise
to do my very best to represent the interests and desires of the people
of the 4th District. I want to be "your" man on Fiscal Court standing
up for you and your family.
So you can know who I am and what I stand for, I will share with you
some of my thoughts and beliefs.
I believe in...
the one true God, the Creator of the universe. I believe
His Son, Jesus Christ, is the Saviour of mankind. He is
my Lord, and Saviour. I believe the Holy Spirit indwells
every believer and empowers us to live a victorious life.
I believe in...
the traditional family, a marriage between one man and
one woman. No other union is ordained by God.
I believe in...
the sanctity of life, that life begins at conception,
and the deliberate taking of that life through abortion
is murder.
I believe in...
the words of Thomas Jefferson: "We hold these truths
to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain
unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty
and the pursuit of Happiness."
I believe in...
the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United
States of America, which declares: "A well regulated
Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall
not be infringed." I believe you have a right to have
and keep your guns, for hunting, or self-defense.
I believe in...
less government, and more personal responsibility.
When we, as a people, act responsibly and productively,
we don't need the government intervening in every area
of our lives. "Of the People, By the People, For the
People"--NOT "For the Government Bureaucrats, and the
Wall Street Bankers"
As you can see, I am a conservative, Christian, family man.
To sum it all up, I am pro-Christian, pro-family, pro-life,
pro-gun, pro-U.S. Constitution, while accepting personal
responsibility for our own actions.
I want to be your next 4th District Magistrate. I need your vote.
